Nowadays, Poker is very popular in the world and especially in USA. The most popular poker is the Hold’em but it is interesting to know that poker it is not just Hold’em poker. There are a lot of variants of poker and sometimes more interesting than the Hold’em one. Poker is a gambling game. The player invests money at the beginning of the game (it used to be low at the beginning). The cave: the score of a player is materialized by his winnings (the money he has at the beginning of the game). The cave is the amount of chips that the player has at the beginning of the game. This one is variable, it depends of if the player wins or lose during the game. The mastery of the game is when the player is able to manage the cards and guess what his opponent has. The player has to be able to make some probabilities about the game and about the next cards. He has also to be able to read through his opponents. The Hold’em Poker: The real name is the Texas Hold’em Poker. It is the most popular game of this century. The goal is quite easy. The player receives 2 cards from the dealer and these cards have to match with the river to get the best combination possible. Nevertheless, the player can bluff too.
5 cards Draw poker: it is probably the poker that everyone has already played once in their life. You play it with 5 cards closed it means that you play with 5 cards that no one can see except you. There is no river. You have to get the best combination with your 5 cards in your hands. Nevertheless, you can change your cards once. You can change them from 0 to 5. This poker is also called the cowboy poker. It was very popular in USA and France.
The stud 5 cards: it is a variant of poker. You receive 1 card hidden and 4 no hidden. It means that all of your cards can be seen by all of the players except one. So, the dealer gives you a hidden card and after that you receive a no hidden card. The bet starts and at the end of the bet, the dealer serves another no hidden card to every player in until that every players get 5 cards. The best combination wins as usual.
The High, the Low and the High/Low: there are 3 other variant of poker. The high is quite close to the Hold’em, you have to get the highest combination with you 5 cards. With the Low poker, it is the opposite; you have to get the lowest pair with your 5 cards. And with the High/Low it is a little different. The pot is shared between the highest combination and the lowest one.
